The Alexander tetradrachms from Knidos are among the great rarities in the entire series. They were struck in circa 205-190 BC and are perhaps connected to the Cretan War of 205-200 and the conquests of Philip V of Macedon in Caria. This is an exceptionally well-preserved example and surely among the finest known.
